Merri’s Easy One-Pan Fudgy Brownies
1/2 cup plus 2 Tablespoons butter
6 Tablespoons powdered cocoa
1 Cup Sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup flour
Preheat oven to 350 Fahrenheit
Grease or butter an 8 inch square baking pan
Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the cocoa, and stir until butter is melted and remove from the heat. Stir in the sugar, and then add and mix in the eggs one at a time. Add the vanilla, followed by mixing in the flour.
Spread the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes. Do not overbake—you will just have to trust it is done as a toothpick inserted at the end will not come out clean. These are very fudgy.
Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10 minutes or so before cutting, removing from the pan, and letting cool completely. Be sure to put in a sealed container once completely cool so that the cut brownies don’t dry out.
